How to: Link data between workbooks using Copy and Paste Special commands.
Solution:
Copy the data to be linked in the source workbook. Switch to the destination workbook and paste the link.
1) Open the source workbook.
2) Select the worksheet containing the data to link.
NOTE: Click the tab for a worksheet to select the worksheet.
3) Select the desired data.
4) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Copy'.
5) Open the destination workbook.
NOTE: If the workbook is already open, select the name of the workbook from the 'Window' menu to switch to the workbook.
6) Select the worksheet to link the data.
7) Select the cell where the upper-left corner of the data should appear.
8) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste Special...'. (The Paste Special dialog box appears.)
9) Click 'Paste Link'.
